Gary A. Bolles is CEO of Xigi Media and Xigi Software, complementary strategic events and applications companies.

Xigi Media ("ZIG-ee") produces and advises clients on strategic events - conferences and seminars that have an impact. Xigi Media is producing the inaugural Social Capital Conference, designed to bring together investors and entrepreneurs building sustainable businesses focused on global and local issues. Recent clients include Google, the Interactive Advertising Bureau, London Business School, and UNGAID, a technology initiative of the United Nations.

Xigi Software is a seed-stage company that is producing collaborative research applications, Web-based tools to help teams and groups understand and solve complex problems through coordinated insight management. An alpha version of the software is posted at www.xigi.net, Xigi Software's non-profit partner.

Bolles' background is in enterprise software, integrated media and strategy consulting. He is a former executive in a variety of technology startups, including serving as COO for Evolve Software and VP Marketing for Network Products Corp., and is currently an advisor to several early-stage technology companies. Bolles is the former president and co-founder of Microcast Communications, which created and partnered on a variety of Web and events businesses, including MuniWireless.com, the premier media platform for the public broadband arena. He was the editorial director of publications such as Interactive Week, Yahoo! Internet Life, and Network Computing, as well as the on-screen host of TechTV's "Working the Web." Bolles has also consulted on innovation strategies for organizations such as Silicon Valley Bank, Nokia and Intel. In his non-profit work, Bolles has advised organizations such as the Dalai Lama Foundation, and is currently an advisor to Good Capital, a new venture fund for socially-focused, expansion-stage businesses.
