Mark Tovey is a doctoral student in the Advanced Cognitive Engineering Lab at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is completing his Ph.D. in Cognitive Science, and did his undergraduate work at UWO in Computer Science with Psychology and English & Linguistics. He studies, among other things, how mass collaboration can be used to tackle large-scale social and environmental problems, and is the editor of Worldchanging Canada.

He has just completed work on a new edited volume, Collective Intelligence: Creating a Prosperous World at Peace.
